SCARchitecture is the name of my research on architecture’s response to tragedy and my professional interest in how architects should design for emotionally charged sites. I began my research on this topic in 2019 while I was a student in the Boston Architectural College’s Master of Architecture program. In 2020 I completed my Master of Architecture Thesis looking at how the principles of my research could be implemented on sites of mass shooting events. Currently I am exploring how my research relates to current emotionally charged sites in the United States.
